To honor Mary’s memory, we are holding a Celebration of Life on October 6th from 5pm to 7pm at Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City, TN. She was most proud of her son, Allen and her grandson, Xavier who both enlisted in the United States Army. She enjoyed her free time being a member of the Red Hat Society and worked part time at the Catholic Diocese of Knoxville. In 2007, Mary retired from a 22 year career in real estate. She also enjoyed taking photography and calligraphy classes. ![]() Mary had a passion for horses, owning several throughout her life and passed her enthusiasm down to her children. ![]() She is also survived by her sister, Lucia Cucullu and grandson Xavier Patrick. Grooms, Penny Moose and stepson Eddie Grooms. She was born to the late Allen and Mary Cucullu on October 5th, 1944 in Lynchburg, Virginia. Mary Polk Grooms, 77, of Lenoir City, TN passed away September 27th, 2022, with her children by her side. The family would like to thank the care team at Morning Pointe, the Palliative team at UT Medical Center, and the hospice teams at Sacred Ground and Avalon Hospice for their compassionate care during Mary’s stay. ![]()
